Hurricane Harvey made landfall in Texas on August 26 and for nearly one week, it dropped roughly 33 trillion gallons of water, flooding a wide swath of the coast. Due to the widespread damage, we rapidly set up two programs, one in Aransas Pass where Harvey first hit; the other in Houston, a sprawling, densely populated urban area where thousands of families were affected.
WHAT WE’RE DOING NOW
Our teams are actively mucking and gutting homes, clearing debris, salvaging belongings and performing mold sanitizing, as we begin the transition to repairing flood damaged homes.
OUR TWO-YEAR COMMITMENT TO TEXAS
We understand that Texas has a long road ahead and All Hands and Hearts is all about staying for the long term, so we’re committing to be in Texas for at least two years. That’s what it takes to respond for families and communities after a disaster like Hurricane Harvey, so that’s what we do. We stay until the job is done.
WHY DONATE TO ALL HANDS & HEARTS
100% of your donation will be used to help those impacted by Harvey. We have committed to be in Texas for at least two years, so your donation will be used where and when it will be needed most. Our teams are focused where the need is greatest. Currently, we are in Houston and the Gulf Coast.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
The road to recovery in Texas is going to be long and hard. Your support is critical to our work. 100%of all Hurricane Harvey donations go directly to help
those affected. We have received hundreds of requests for help and over thousands of volunteer applications. We want to utilize every volunteer and help as many homeowners as possible. Help us stay for as long as they need us in Texas by DONATING TODAY to our US Hurricane Relief Fund at AllHandsAndHearts.org or text HANDS to 707070.
