The incessant rains in Maharashtra in second half of July'21 have wrecked havoc. Widespread floods have been reported across many districts.
The worst-hit districts are Kolhapur, Raigad, Sangli, Ratnagiri, Satara and Sindhudurg, hitting a total of 890 villages. Basic infrastructure such as roads, water supply, and electricity was disrupted in several areas. Over a lakh people have been displaced and are without proper shelter, food and medical help.
