November is homeless awareness month and we have an opportunity to impact individuals in our city with Supportive Housing Communities (SHC). SHC aims to end homelessness by providing affordable housing solutions. They assist residents in obtaining and remaining in permanent housing; increasing their skills and/or income; encouraging their goal(s); achieving greater self-determination; and supporting their health and wellness. We’ll be partnering with SHC through our very own The Thanksgiving Tree. The Thanksgiving Tree is a way for our organization to come together and reflect on all the things we’re thankful for during this holiday season. The tree will start off leafless in Town Hall. As we lead up to Thanksgiving, we will be filling up the tree with “leaves of thanks”. The leaves will include what each person is thankful for as a reminder of all the good things in our lives. The LendingTree Thanksgiving Tree will be on display in Town Hall through Thanksgiving. Please watch our Tree bloom with Leaves and donations from our employees to Supportive Housing Community!
